2022.01.21 14:03 SassyN2 Is there anyone out there who genuinely feels good about their 1/20 exam?
Was a shit show imo. B/B was pretty fair along with P/S but the entire thing felt more like a section bank. Timing was a huge issue on every section for the questions/passages they gave :/

2022.01.21 14:03 Millertym2 What are some build ideas that have a use for survival minecraft?
I like survival minecraft, but find myself struggling to build things that don’t also have a usage to them. (For example, mob farms that are built into cool builds) If you have any ideas, I’d appreciate it.

Do you have to complete the level challenges before you level up? I'm inches from level 46 but have a bunch of raids to go in the "Win 45 raids" task. I'd hate to lose those x3 Lucky Eggs and x3 Super incubators...

2022.01.21 14:03 Bob_Sacamano7379 Thursday’s show
When I was a kid, I thought there was nothing more clever than the sitcom crossover. Laverne and Shirley would appear on Happy Days, or Mad About You on Friends, or Everybody Loves Raymond on King of Queens, etc.
That’s how I felt hearing the Dan Patrick Show on DLSwS.

2022.01.21 14:03 Spinostadownvoteme Random thought about what if there was no Shinigami and the Death Note was just... itself?
This is just a random thought I had while watching the show, what if there was no Shinigami and the Death Note was just some book that appeared to Light with no backstory or explanation? Would this be better? Probably not. I know a shit ton of plotlines and things in the show would have to be completely different (like everything when Misa comes in), and the entire vibe of the show would probably be different too... I just want to know what you think would be worse or better?

2022.01.21 14:03 stumblios ~20 year old Toyota as an overland/daily driver combo?
Hey Everyone! I've searched/read through variations of this question, but didn't see anything recent and wanted to get some opinions.
I love camping and want to get in to overlanding. My current car is fantastic for what it is, but I don't think a Hyundai Accent is the right car for these kinds of adventures. I know the answer to this question is most likely "it depends", but if I buy a ~20 year old Toyota, how likely do you think I am to regret that decision? Currently, I'm looking at 4runners, land cruisers, and the GX470, primarily in the 1999-2007 range and around 150k miles. I'm also considering Sequoia's in the 2009-2013 range, but think they might be bigger than I really want.
I'm mechanically inclined, but largely inexperienced. The closest I've been to working on an engine is changing a radiator. Other than that, everything I've done has been basic things like oil/brakes/wheels/shocks. I'm not "afraid" of going beyond that, but my cars have never called for it. I do enjoy the process of breaking things down and fixing them back up.
I've averaged around 8k miles/year for the last 5 years, but this would go up because we currently use my wife's car for road trips, so I imagine 10-12k miles/year if we use my new (old) car for camping.
My work commute is 7 miles each way, so not a lot of time in the car there. Work is also flexible with WFH, if my car is out of commission for a few days here and there, it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I obviously want a car that is reliable. The idea of breaking down in the middle of nowhere on a road trip sounds like a great way to ruin a trip.
My offroading goals are on the low end of things. I'm not really looking to wade through rivers or go rock climbing. I'll stick to trails most of the time, but occasionally I'd like to say "that's not a road, but I can make it work".
Why I'm looking at this era of cars:
Like most everyone, cost is a factor. I think I'll be happiest if I can stay sub-$15k, or go up to $20k if it means the car has a lot fewer miles and is in overall better condition. I could technically afford more, but when it comes to spending money, I like to have a reason other than "oh that's neat!"
I don't need bells and whistles. Automatic windows are the only "feature" of my current car, everything else is manual. In my perspective, more features means more that can go wrong, so I appreciate simplicity.
From everything I've read, a maintained 4runner can go 250k+ miles, and land cruisers/GX470 can achieve that or more. I'd like to buy a car and drive it 100-150k miles over the next 10-15 years, and it sounds like these cars are the most likely to achieve that goal without any significant powertrain problems.
So, with all that in mind, do y'all think I'm looking in the right direction? I understand that buying a high mile car has risks since you don't know exactly how the previous owner(s) treated it. I'd definitely check maintenance records and have a mechanic do an inspection before buying anything. I just want some confirmation that this idea is sound before I pitch it to my wife. If you think I'm setting myself up for disappointment, what make/model/miles do you think I should look for in order to buy a car that'll last me 10+ years and 100k+ miles?
