2022.01.21 15:11 Admirable-Tree-4064 How do you respond, when asked what are you looking for? 24F

So dating apps like hinge have exhausted me in terms of feeling like I will actually find a relationship
What I'm looking for is a relationship.
The thing is, I dont want to lead someone on when Im testing the waters to see if I like them.
I dont want to invite people into thinking I want a 3 month situationship with nothing to show for it.
I also don't want to imply that I want something casual, cuase that feels like asking for a hook up/ fwb only.
I had a recent experience of almost going on a date with a narcissist (a mutal acquaintance warned me of him) so I canceled. They sent back a really passive aggressive and manipulate message back, I then just blocked their number.
I went on a date with someone where I didn't feel attracted to them on the date and at the end they kissed me when I didn't want them to (I think they thought I did). I broke it off (explaining that we aren't compatability) they were nice, but got weird "PS. I do feel like our kiss came pretty naturally. It's such a pleasant way to remember you by. I understand if you see this as a good time to part. But I would really enjoy showing you all the ways I could make you feel amazing. I give really great massages btw"
I get a lot of likes and messages and it honestly is overwhelming emotionally cause you basically have to bet and choose who to invest your time and energy into trying to build a connection with someone to see if they magically work out.
I also sometimes I just feel used comming out of these situations.
Do need a better vetting method, a better way to message, go on a coffee date with a set time?
Does anyone have advice?

2022.01.21 15:11 demoweb Buying LTRY for free

or How Lottery.com went from a growth to a value stock worth equal or less than its assets
In the midst of the current stock market correction, one industry is beaten down like a dog: online gambling. Just have a look at the charts of DKNG, PENN, GAN, GENI… they all dropped by more than 60% from all-time highs.
Amongst all of the gambling stocks, my pick for 2022-23 goes to Lottery.com (LTRY). The hypothesis I gamble on is that, with a 220M market capitalization and a stock priced at $4.38 today, January 20th, the value of Lottery.com’s assets is bigger than its market cap. In other words, if LTRY would liquidate all of its assets today, we would get a value of more than $4.38 per share.
We’re witnessing a profitable company (one of the rare de-Spac to make profits right off the bat) with high revenue growth (from $10M in 2020 to $71M+ in 2021) getting valued by Wall Street as a value play, almost like a commodity.
Let’s overview LTRY’s assets and their hypothetical value.

  1. Cash. That’s the easiest asset to quantify. LTRY cashed in $42M from the Spac deal with TDAC, in November 2021. We don’t know how much cash is left in the bank as of today. We know they are hiring more people, they also said they would be spending more marketing dollars to increase their market shares and to develop their affiliate program. So, let’s be conservative and say there is still $30M left in the bank.
  2. Domain names: A) lottery.com. The CEO, Tony Dimatteo, mentioned a few months ago that the domain lottery.com was the company’s main asset. It’s trustworthy and this translates into one of the lowest customer acquisition cost (CAC) of the online gambling industry, if not the lowest, at $4 per customer. In the same interview, Tony reveals that the lottery.com domain has been purchased in 2006 for 8 figures by an anonymous person, who then ended up « giving away » the domain in exchange for a slice on lottery.com’s company. Eight figures mean at least $10M. Now, 16 years later, how much is worth the lottery.com domain? I’m not an expert but I have been buying and selling domain names myself for the past 15 years. Based on a few key metrics, including the 13M unique visitors they got in the first 9 months of 2021 (see page 3 in their Investor Presentation: https://ir.lottery.com/static-files/774846f6-8047-42ec-8f55-44d8a9ee417a), I would estimate the value of lottery.com to be $45M.
Some will say it’s too much, I truly believe it’s too low, because any digital property, regardless of its quality, has boomed in the last 16 years (a domain name is the digital version of real estate, after all).
B) Sports.com. That domain was acquired in April 2021 by LTRY for an undisclosed amount. I don’t think it’s worth as much as lottery.com, but for sure it’s worth in the 8 figures. My bet is somewhere between $10M and $20M. Let’s cut it to $15M.
So, to recap, lottery.com and sports.com domains are worth $60M based on my estimate and gut feeling.
3. Branding. That goes hand in hand with the domain names. While it’s impossible to quantify the worth of branding, it’s at least possible to qualify its value by the existence of a moat. Warren Buffett has been saying for decades that he only invests in businesses that possess a wide moat, because it gives them a huge edge over their competitors.
Lottery.com’s brand is a moat. This is what brings a low customer acquisition cost and a big customer lifetime value (see page 10 of their investor deck: https://ir.lottery.com/static-files/774846f6-8047-42ec-8f55-44d8a9ee417a).
It’s also thanks to their brand that the legislators or potential partners pick up the phone when Lottery.com calls. Who would you trust more, a lottery.com brand or a brand that sounds like a fleshlight company (nothing personal, Jackpocket)?
On one hand, Lottery.com’s brand isn’t Coca-Cola’s nor Apple’s. On the other hand, the latest earnings report shows a $28M value for Intangible assets, net (https://ir.lottery.com/news-releases/news-release-details/lotterycom-announces-strong-third-quarter-results-and-year-date/).
This probably includes other things like the domain names - keep in mind these are accounting values, not market-based values. That being said, I feel good with a $15M valuation for Lottery.com’s branding.
  1. Customer base. The main value of a business is its customers. The quantity (number of customers) and quality (lifetime value, or LTV). Based on the investor deck (page 10), the current LTV is $77 for US players and $93 for International players. These numbers blow my mind. They exclude the players acquired via Affiliates or API partners, though, which obviously has a lower LTV. If you subtract the $4 CAC, you have a net profit per customer of at least $73. In the latest earnings report, it is not specified how many unique customers they had. But if you make some quick maths, you can have a pretty accurate estimate; for the first nine months of 2021, there are 14.36 transactions per user times $9.83 per transaction equals $141.16 in revenue per user. The total revenue for these 9 months is $47M. If we divide $47M by $141.16, we get roughly 333 000 customers buying lottery tickets within these 9 months. It appears to be very low, though.
Still, if we multiply the number of users by the LTV - let’s use the LTV for US players - we get a total customer value of more than $25M in revenues and more than $2M in profits. It’s fairer to use a $25M than a $2M valuation because the total lifetime profit would be anyway multiplied by a 5 to 15 multiplier to get to a fair market valuation.
  1. Acquisitions. In July 2021, Lottery.com acquired Global Gaming Enterprises, which owns an 80% stake in two Mexican lottery companies: Aganar and JuegaLotto. We don’t know much about them except that they acquired 136k new customers from July 2020 to 2021, which is very little.I went to both websites via VPN, signed up, and they look legit. LTRY also owns Wintogether.com, which basically behaves as a low customer acquisition tool for lottery.com; to make it short, Wintogether offers people to enter sweepstakes to winnice prizes like a Tesla truck, and most of the funds go to a charity. This is a noble cause, while the real purpose of it is to collect emails from potential lottery players worldwide and ease the international expansion of lottery.com. Based on the latest earnings report, for the nine months ended September 30th, the cash paid for acquisitions, net of cash acquired, was a bit over $20M. In the Assets section of the report, we can see a $17M for Goodwill, which accounts for the excess purchase price of another company. So I’m comfortable giving a $30M valuation to their acquisitions
  2. Expansion. Lottery.com went from 5 to 12 US states in 2020, thanks largely to the covid effect on politicians who were looking for new revenue streams. In 2021, it was supposedly entering 7 other states, but it didn’t. Management said their market shares were very small in the states they currently operate in, so they prefer to increase their business there instead of expanding to new states. Fair enough. The general feeling amongst the LTRY fans is that their next state will be either New York or New Jersey. We’ll see.
The company is also present internationally. Its data is provided in over 40 countries and the sale of lottery tickets is available in Mexico and Latin America (through Aganar & JuegaLotto), Turkey (30-year agreement with the company Inball), UK, Canada (I paid $5 per Powerball ticket worth $2 each in US). There might be more countries to the list, I just struggle to find credible sources to confirm. Tony Dimatteo said LTRY is eyeing the Chinese market, he seemed really excited about it in a recent interview, for good reasons: Chinais arguably the biggest user base of gamblers worldwide. For instance, Vegas is a baby in the gambling market compared to Macau.
All that being said, putting a dollar amount to value the expansion is similar to valuing growth. If we stick to the existing markets acquired from the expansion moves done up to now, I would put a $30M value on it. If we add 2022-23 future expansion, this number at least doubles. But that relies on hypothetical growth, and this is not today’s topic. So, in my opinion, the current expansion is worth $30M.
  1. Partnerships. LTRY is expanding via affiliate partners like Coinstar, which sells lottery tickets within its 4500+ kiosks; Octopus, which allows Uber and Lyft riders to buy lottery tickets all across the USA; Payrange, which offers lottery tickets inside their mobile app. You can find more partners at page 11 of the investor deck. Given the fact Lottery.com is emphasizing so much to expand their affiliate program, it says a lot about how it’s valued by them. Since we’re not them and we know much less, we will give a $20M valuation for the existing partnership deals.
We often hear about potential partnerships with Draftkings for the launch of sports.com, which makes sense because a) this ain’t LTRY’s core business b) they lack expertise in the sports gambling industry c) Draftkings is the biggest player of that industry and d) Draftkings’ CEO Jason Robbins sits on LTRY’s board. As wonderful would it be, this partnership doesn’t exist as we speak, so it’s worth $0 as a current asset.
  1. Equipment & Intellectual Property (IP). The latest earnings report shows an asset of $1.3M Property and equipment, net. That is most likely tangible equipment, which excludes Lottery.com’s iOS and Android apps. Their apps have a great user experience, but let’s be honest, they aren’t the best in the market. I would give these assets a $1.5M valuation, including the web app and website, which is the price I estimate to rebuild these apps from scratch. I would add another $2.5M for the backend, APIs, database, system to buy tickets, blockchain-based.
They also operate a data service branch, which delivers lottery data in 40 countries to over 400 digital publishers and media organizations. In 2020, by the way, selling data represented 40% of Lottery.com’s revenues. Considering its blazing growth (541% between 2019 and 2020), the value of the Data asset is huge. I would give it a $8M valuation, at least.
There is also one piece of value that intrigues me: Tony Dimatteo’s patent for selling online lottery tickets (https://patents.justia.com/inventolawrence-anthony-dimatteo). I cannot put a fair price on this patent, but since we need a number, let’s say $1M.
In the latest earnings report, we can see a $4M investment for the purchases of property, equipment and intangible assets. Which brings the total Value of LTRY’s intellectual proprety to a conservative $15M. I say « conservative » because my estimate of what is publicly known above is low, and on top of that I’m probably missing some other pieces of IP unknown to the public.
  1. Project Nexxus & Proprietary games. The idea of a 100% blockchain platform and unique lottery games owned by LTRY and allowing crypto payments is so enticing… but nothing of that exists yet, so the value is none. For now.
Now it’s time to recap the above 9 points and the total value of LTRY’s assets:
  1. Cash: 30M
  2. Domain names: $60M
  3. Branding: $15M
  4. Customer base: $25M
  5. Partnerships: $30M
  6. Expansion: $30M
  7. Acquisitions: $20M
  8. Equipment & IP: $15M
  9. Ongoing projects: $0
Total Value of Assets: $225M
Total Market Cap: $220M
LTRY’s business value: FREE
In the current market’s bloodbath, it is easy to lose sight of the value of the stocks we own, and to panic sell. Judging by LTRY’s 70% drop since November, Wall Street convinced enough people that Lottery.com is a value stock rather than a growth stock. In an improbable scenario where Wall Street would be right, LTRY would still be a great buy. It is almost like buying a commodity that triple its value each year.
Full Disclosure: I’m not a financial adviser. I am just a tech guy, son of a gambling addict, which makes me a good candidate to strongly believe the House never loses, especially when this house is open worldwide, accessible in a single click.
I am long on LTRY, since mid-February 2021 (back to the early days of TDAC). Never sold a single share and won’t sell a share as long as LTRY’s fair price isn’t reached, which should in between $22 and $30 by 2023, in my opinion.

I understand new hires in Knoxville receive a 5-day field training, whereas my local AMR puts you through a 1-3 month field training- not to mention the scope of practice is much wider here. I've heard the horror stories of AMR, but is there anyone who can speak to what it's like currently?
